cant welcomes Jason Bradford as new blog editor

There's always so much going on with cant contributors that Aaron and Jon couldn't keep up with it all. Fortunately, Jason Bradford stepped up to take care of business.

As the new Blog Editor, Jason will be keeping in touch with cant writers past and present, and creating content to share that communication with all of us.

It's no small role. Jon and Aaron are not only extremely grateful for his help--we're also extremely confident in his capability. Jason's reputation preceded him. He is well-known to have a far higher poetry metabolism than most mortals, and this energy and enthusiasm will bring a lot of spirit to cant, and more content to you--our cant reader.

Thanks, as always, for checking into the blog, and please help us in giving Jason a warm, cant welcome.

Briar by Iris Applequist

cant contributor, and lyricist sublime, Iris Applequist finally dropped a solo volume. Here it is:

Get it here:

info@prosperosbookstore.com.

Says critic Gordon Highland:

"The material ranges from motherhood to media, disappointment to domestica -- its laconic prose rendered with incisive metaphor and piercing wit. Also, her predilection for enjambment feels much more rhythmically-natural to me than many poets' work. Stylistically, I'd compare her to Cummings, topically to Bukowski. You'll love it."

Please enjoy.
